James Dean and Ronald Reagan, not seen in 50 years not uncommon

Highlights of the CBS television broadcast, "The Dark, Dark Hours", first broadcast on General Electric Theater Sunday, December 12, 1954. E 'was broadcast only once. IMPORTANT NOTE: Footage from this TV show has appeared since 2005, Michael Sheridan, a documentary James Dean: Forever Young. This clip was from Wayne Federman, who discovered the whole program, while a survey is being developed at a television retrospective Reagan for Reagan Centennial. James Dean, fresh from recording East of Eden (a role thatearned an Oscar nomination), was on the verge of a movie star. He died in a car accident in less than a year after the transfer. Ronald Reagan, a movie actor since 1937, beginning a new phase of his career as a television presenter (though still a leading actor). His work with GE led him into politics and was elected governor of California 12 years after this program. I think the song Birdland jazz by Charlie Ventura.
