Lone Ranger - M16

Borrowing the name of art from the popular TV Western hero of the same name, the Lone Ranger one of the most influential Jamaican dancehall DJ soon. He helped pioneer a new rhythmic style on-the-beat rhyming, led DJ toasting into the modern age, and his lyrics laced with bizarre exclamations and sound effects ("BIM" and "Ribbit" were his favorite ), which may imaginative stylist of his time. The Lone Ranger was born Anthony Waldron and spent a good parthis childhood in England, before moving to Kingston. He is the first time in tandem with Welton Irie at the famous Studio One Clement "Coxsone" Dodd, but it soon went solo, toasting on the rhythm tracks of past Studio One Hits-era roots reggae and rocksteady. He also became the top DJ for the Virgo Hi Fi Sound System, which was in his being voted the top sound system in Jamaica in 1980.The breakout hit Lone Ranger "Love Bump," a Dodd-produced version of the rhythm from Slim Smith"Rougher yet." His signature song was "Barnabas Collins", an ode to the vampiric main character of the TV series Dark Shadows. Produced by Alvin "GG" Ranglin, "Barnabas Collins" was a huge success in 1980, charts in both Jamaica and the United Kingdom, an album with the same name (aka Barnabas Collins Wood), followed up and established as a label Ranglin of the top DJ's record time.
